BWD brings OPLAN TUTO to five public schools in the observation of Brigada Eskwela 2017

For two years in a row now, Baliwag Water District (BWD) brought its OPLAN TUTO (Tubig Umaksyon, Tubig Uminom) to five public schools in Baliwag in the observation of Brigada Eskwela 2017 of the Department of Education.

 

OPLAN TUTO team composed of Public Relations personnel from the Management Services Division, plumbers from the Construction and Maintenance Division and desludging personnel from the Sewerage and Sanitation Division, went to Sta. Barbara Elementary School in Brgy. Sta. Barbara, Catulinan Elementary School in Brgy. Catulinan, J.V. Ycasiano Memorial School in Brgy. San Roque and in Sto. Niño High School in Brgy. Sto. Niño on May 16, 2017 to conduct water leak audit, water leak repair and free septic tank desludging service. Bottled water straight from BWD UV-equipped pumping station were also given to the four schools.

 

On May 19, 2017, the OPLAN TUTO team also extended water leak audit, water leak repair and faucet repair at Sulivan High School in Brgy. Sulivan. Eleven faucets and one (1) service line leak were repaired during the conduct of said program.

 

Said project is in line with BWD’s mission of partnering with the community in the course of providing safe, adequate and affordable water and sanitation services and protecting the environment.
