True to its mission of providing safe, adequate and affordable water and sanitation services and protecting the environment while engaging the people in the community, Baliwag Water District (BWD) re-staged its services information campaign during the general assembly of the Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) of Baliwag South Central School (BSCS) in Brgy. Sto. Cristo, Baliwag Bulacan on June 7, 2017.
First staged in 2013, the BWD Water and Sanitation Services Information Drive provides comprehensive information on BWD water and sanitation services and its existing policies such as new connection procedures and requirements, disconnection/reconnection policies and procedures, change of name/ownership, transfer of service connection/relocation, water meter replacement and desludging policies and procedures were discussed during the said campaign.
Basic trouble shooting during occasional occurrence of low water pressure, dirty water, no water and high water consumption were also one of the event’s highlights.
Participants were also encouraged to be vigilant in reporting water leaks, illegal connections, incorrect installation of booster pumps or jetmatic, and tampering of water meter.
The event was attended by 206 participants composed of 16 males and 190 female parents and guardians of the BSCS pupils who hails mostly from Brgy. Sto. Cristo and some from Brgys. Poblacion, San Jose, Bagong Nayon, Concepcion, Pagala, and Subic and their teachers led by their School Principal, Mrs. Marilyn P. Samson.
